Finger…bang…er?

I’m really digging these spooky spiderwebs on the end of Megan‘s fingers. I’m just not sure what they’re technically called. Kevin suggested “third knuckles” but that sounds a little too monkey-ish and I have a feeling that “fingerbanger” is much more accurate. Not to mention borderline inappropriate, and I’m sure you’re all as amused by that as I am.

    I’m pretty sure a “fingerbanger” is either someone who masturbates a lot or someone who only gives good finger. Either way that part of the finger is the distal phalanx and the last joint is the distal interphalangeal joint but that shit is way to technical. The last joint is also known as the DIP joint. So…ah…how about a DIPTOO, a tiptoo, an inkdip, or Nokattat. (nokat is Serbian for fingernail ;) )

    Considering it’s the only term I’ve ever heard anyone use, I’ll stick to my option. Yours work too but c’mon, they are nowhere near as much fun to say!
