Bad Ass Dad

Adam Turk posted this pretty serious untraditional Dad tattoo on his Twitter a couple days ago.

I call it seriously untraditional for the following reasons:

  1. It’s on the hand. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of the hand tattoo if you can pull it off. By pull it off, I mean you don’t have to worry about the repercussions of having a hand tattoo – but that’s an entirely different topic. The hand just isn’t a place you typically see a tribute to Dad.
  2. How much of a bad ass must Dad be if his tribute tattoo is brass knuckles, switch blades, and razor blades? I’d be excited to hear the stories of what Dad and son did during their bonding time.

    this guy is a NAVY SEAL… for real… not the BS kind this guy is legit… he has a tribute to his mother on his other hand…

    for that matter, so do i. i have two sailor jerry flash pieces on my hands one that reads “mother” (a sparrow and a banner) and the other, “father” (a skull, anchor, and dagger with a banner).

    the piece i did on this guy’s hand is definitely NOT traditional by the style or the application of the style… i never actually said that it was…

    do you like the piece though? you never really said if you like it or not… you just mentioned that it wasn’t a place you typically see a dad tribute and that the dad must be a bad-ass which i also assume…
