A matter of chests

Posted by Kevin on May 15th, 2010

As a male with a chest piece, hiding it has always been easy. Occasionally a shirt hangs low and the top peaks out, but other than that it’s never been a problem. I hadn’t considered what it would be like it from a female’s stance. I’ve been told with the number of shirts being open/half top, it can be difficult to hide a large chest piece.

Ladies, does this make a difference to you? I’m interested in hearing opinions about this…

I have a large chest-piece like the one above(not to mention sleeves). I hold a managerial job that requires me to keep it covered, and I find it almost impossible to cover it up 100%. Girls, one piece of advice: Either get used to wearing turtlenecks year round or choose a career where tattoos won’t hold you back if they are visible… b/c trying to cover them is a real bitch… just sayin’…

as a heavily tattooed female i love that i’m able to throw on clothes that keep the general public from harassing or staring, a chest piece takes that away from me. i also worry that it will distract from my awesome rack.

I haven’t got a big rack, I’m small all over but the large chest piece Chris Higgins did for e makes me feel so very feminine. Before it I never wore low cut tops or even vests (wife beaters?) but now I do. Yeah guys and dolls stare but who cares really, at the end of the day I have dead cool ink :D

This has largely contributed to be putting my chest piece on hold. Not that I have qualms about being visibly tattooed, but I think as far as tattoos on women, a chest piece is probably the biggest choice. It’s extremely prominent and hard to avoid showing.

Nothing upsets me more than beautiful ladies with horrible chest pieces. If nothing else I think it might deserve some more though than other locations. Not implying other spots shouldn’t be carefully planned but I feel like the chest is the most important real estate!

I have a fairly good sized chest piece, and at times I wish I didn’t have it because its harder to cover than my sleeves on my legs and arms, only because so many shirts are cut low to show a woman’s cleavage and shoulders.. but I love my chest piece and I’d never want to not have it.. I just find it hard to cover at times..

i have a huge chest piece, and a pretty large rack. i think it makes my rack look even better than it normally would!

i agree though, it is hard to cover. most shirts for women are cut low enough that it will show at least some of it. back when i had to cover mine, i had to wear polo shirt buttoned all the way to the top button. although, on a day to day basis a regular t-shirt can cover it. i would not change the fact that i have it though! i love it!

I’ve been thinking pretty seriously about getting a chest piece this summer, about the size and shape of this one. I haven’t been fretting about how to cover it – I’m a university professor with tenure, and in mid-40s, unlikely to change careers.

I don’t have a chest piece yet, but I plan to in the very near future and covering it has never been an issue of concern for me. I don’t often wear low cut shirts because I usually try to make my huge boobs less noticeable so I’m use to wearing shirts that go to the neck almost all of the time anyway. Thankfully my current job has no restrictions about tattoos so I know it wouldn’t be a problem there even if I was wearing a lower cut shirt.
I feel that in the future, I will probably have a job that isn’t as okay with tattoos and I think covering it won’t be much of an issue.

I don’t see how it can be hard to cover a chest piece when needed, it’s called wear a t-shirt or button up haha.

i agree with sam. i have a chest piece larger than the one above and half the time people don’t even know it’s there (button-ups or t-shirts do just fine). i do think, however, i choice something fairly feminine and when people do see it they almost always respond to it in a positive way.
