Jeff Ensminger’s Web Store

Jeff Ensminger recently launched an online store. Right now, there are several books, prints, and paintings available to purchase. Pictured below is the Skull Feather painting, available here.

On a side note, Jeff is looking to take on some new clients. If you’re interested, give Jeff a shout.

Coquille or Be Killed!

Coquille or Be Killed is a book in which over 250 artists have contributed pieces on coquille paper. The hand bound books are  limited to 500 copies, and are hand numbered. Ezra Haidet and Zach Nelligan from Triple Crown Tattoo Parlor organized this project and put it all together.

If you’re interested in picking one up, they’re available here.

Upper Playground x Fashion Delivers Haiti Relief

Upper Playground has teamed up with Fashion Delivers to donate clothing to the people of Haiti. For every purchase made January 21st-31st, Upper Playground will donate a shirt to Fashion Delivers.

To help drive sales, Upper Playground has put all merchandise on sale for 50% off in the Upper Playground stores, as well as the web store.

Eternally Bound sketches

A couple weeks ago, Myke Chambers released this book of sketches available from Kingpin Tattoo Supply. The ninety-three page book contains a number of sketches that you’ll probably see in Myke’s tattoo portfolio. I linked that buck tattoo (seen below on the upper right hand corner of the cover) as it’s one of my favorites.

Check out the tattoo Myke did yesterday. Yes, yesterday, as in Sunday. The guy doesn’t stop working.

Totally Stylin’ Tattoo Barbie

On Christmas Eve, my little niece walked up to me and made a comment about her Barbie having tattoos just like mine. I didn’t know what in the world she was talking about, so she showed me her Totally Stylin’ Tattoo Barbie doll. Sure enough, there Barbie was, covered in tattoos.

Apparently Mattel released this back in the spring, and received some criticism from it. Mattel simply said it would not discontinue the doll, and claimed it “gives girls a chance to express themselves and be creative.” Now this isn’t the first time Mattel made a run at Tattooed Barbie. In 1999, they introduced Butterfly Art Barbie, but the dolls were quickly removed off the shelves after a number of complaints and protests.

I don’t really care one way or another about this, but I think it’s interesting. What do you think? Does Tattoo Barbie make a difference in the grand scheme of everything?

Below is the commercial for Totally Stylin’ Tattoo Barbie that aired in the spring when the doll was first introduced.

Built for Sin

Move over tuxedo t-shirt, you too bikini t-shirt – there’s a new funny t-shirt in town.

I don’t think you’ll be able to order one of these in time for Christmas, but what better way to burn that cash that Grandma gave you? I’m sure this is exactly what she envisioned when she said “Buy something nice sweetie.”

Available at the Built for Sin website.

Good Nite

Looking for something fun but fairly inexpensive for the holiday season? Have no fear, I stumbled upon these knuckle tattoo pillow cases. These are exactly what you need, whether you’re trying to accessorize that special someones dorm room, or you’re just getting a quirky gift for that tattooed friend that has everything.

I’m actually a little disappointed this isn’t included in the Miami Ink bedroom set.

Tattooed Pooch

Looking for that perfect gift for your four legged friend?

Well look no further, as the Tattooed Pooch has you covered. Calm down PETA lovers, no animals are actually tattooed here. Instead the Tattooed Pooch helps your fur ball friend be hip and stylish with tattoo related bowls, collars, leashes, and even picture frames.

I’m not going to lie, the stuff is a little pricey, but it’s quality stuff. The leashes and collars are quality leather, and everything is hand painted. To help take the edge off the price, the Tattooed Pooch is taking 20% off when you use the code word “XMAS.”

Here’s an example of some of their products:

The doctor is in . .

On Friday, I’ll be traveling to Deluxe Tattoo for the day, while a friend gets tattooed by Hannah Aitchison.

Speaking of Hannah, she recently updated her site with all new merchandise.

Did you know the phrase “The doctor is in . . ” came from the Peanuts? Apparently Lucy distributed psychiatric advice from a cardboard box that looked a great deal like a cartoon lemonade stand. She had a sign on it indicating the “Doctor’s” availability. The sign read “The Doctor is in . .”

Powder Puff Pinups

Alissa Brunelli and Sunshine Pace shot some new pictures representing their newest venture, Powder Puff Pinups.

From what I understand, Powder Puff Pinup is a consultant company that will assist any female (or male I suppose) in creating the ultimate pinup photo shoot. The photography, wardrobe, environment, poses, hair and make up, and even facial expressions are all covered between Alissa and Sunshine. The website has additional details, and a sample of their work is below, featuring the lovely Radeo.

This could be a fun gift just in time for the holiday season. I know plenty of guys that would be excited to see their special someone in pinup pictures, especially if they can keep the pictures to themselves.
