Sutton invades Canada

The official title of the  Montreal Tattoo Convention is Art Tattoo Show Montreal. I’m not sure why that is, but it sure does sound awkward. Regardless, it’s taking place next weekend and the roster of artists is pretty impressive. It’s a solid mixture of US, European, and Canadian tattooers.

Representing the US and more importantly, the dirty south, Jeremy Sutton will be in attendance. When I last spoke to Jeremy, he still had some time open. Interested parties can reach Jeremy on his Twitter, or via Facebook.

Two at your hip

I couldn’t help but get caught up in the details on both of these firearm tattoos. What can I say… I’m a stickler for the fine details. Besides, this strikes me as a cut above your run of the mill “Glock in my waistband” tattoo.

Deeper than flesh

We received the tattoo below Julene posted the deeper than skin hand tattoo last week.

With the super realism artists are capable of now, how long will it be before someone starts a body suit of these?

Hit the road, Lee

Lee O’Gorman is hitting the road for the later half of September. From September 14th to the 18th, he’ll be at Lucky Bird Tattoo in Annapolis, MD. From there, he travels down to see Ron Russo and spend September 19th to the 23rd at 570 Tattooing in Kingston, PA.

Anyone interested in getting work from Lee should contact the shop directly.

Construction of color

I had the pleasure of watching Carson Hill tattoo live this past weekend. It’s an interesting process how he layers his color, and goes about obtaining the depth and texture of pieces like these.

Paint the town red

I’m always a fan of any tattoo with a deeper meaning behind it, especially if it goes unbeknownst to most people.

If you’re not familiar with the phrase, educate yourself.

Holy Annihilation

Richard Paduch outdoes himself once again. The details in the tattoo below are absurd!

I wonder if Richard ever comes to the States…

Absolute

I tend to see plenty of bad om tattoos, it’s refreshing to see one that’s well done.

I love livin’ in the city

I’m not too sure if there’s a story behind this cityscape tattoo, but there’s quite a bit going on.  If you take the time to click through and see the large version of this image, you’ll see what I mean. (You can always click the pictures we post here to see it full-size, by the way.)

Also, you might as well take a peek at the close-up we have here. Regardless, this is a pretty intricate scene someone’s walking around with. Anyone know this guy? I have questions!

Got fangs?

I tried really hard to write about this tattoo without sounding like a) a creep or, b) a lesbian. Turns out that’s impossible, so I’ll just run with it: this vampy babe is hot, buxom and probably coming for me in my sleep tonight. *pause*

There’s more than just a little sexual innuendo in that last sentence. Whatever, blame it on “hump day.”
