Boar or hog?

After ten minutes of trying to figure out if this was a wild boar or a warthog, I hit up Wikipedia. Turns out boars are just the boys. Sounds accurate enough to me!

(Actually, that’s not true. But this might be.)

Remem’bear’ing

I remember walking around the Richmond Convention last year, and stumbling upon Oleg’s booth. I couldn’t stop flipping through his portfolio, looking at each piece two or three times. Tonight, it’s like deja-vu. I’m once again flipping through Oleg’s website looking at each piece two or three times.

Unfortunately I don’t think Oleg is going to be at Richmond in November, but I’m sure he’ll be back to visit the states soon.

Around we go

While looking at all the woodland creatures depicted in this tattoo, I noticed a weasel is strangely absent. I dunno, just seems like he would’ve belonged there?

Something fierce

Now this is one fierce(ly swollen) wolf on someone’s inner arm. Interestingly, this is the second day in a row I’m posting a piece with a planetary symbol in it.

If anyone cares to take a stab at the significance, I’d love to hear it.

Dandy Lion

Burke sent us this photo of his two week old rib piece, obviously still fresh when the photo was taken. He mentioned that while dandelions (yes the flower/weed, depending on if you’re a yard owner) hold a special significance to him, a flower tattoo just wasn’t what he was after. I find this dandy lion to be quite a fancy alternative.

Bear pit

Indiana Jones was not a happy camper upon realizing he’d been put in a snake pit. While that sounds pretty gnarly, winding up in a bear pit would be infinitely worse. The only thing that sounds worse than that at present moment is getting your armpit tattooed.

How many of you have _____ pits, anyway?

Sloth it up

This little two-toed sloth has effectively grabbed on to the handlebar grip below. Is it just me, or does he look quite pleased with himself?

For your mama

This elephant tattoo is actually on Jeffery’s mother. She started out insisting she wanted something small but he informed her she had to go big or go home. Looks like she didn’t leave…

You have to hand it to him…

I’m not sure when every creature in the animal kingdom started dressing like a dapper gentleman (or a wise-talking pool shark, like the dog below) but if the real world could follow suit I think we’d all be in a much better mood. I mean, bear in a fez and a monocle! Hello, does it get any more uplifting on a Sunday afternoon than that?

Pretty sure

Pretty sure I’ve never seen a traditionally styled moose tattoo before. I’m a little unsure of the translation of the text at the top – any Swedes lurking around here?
