When it comes to tattoos like the one below, I’m always curious what aspect each person notices first. For example, I paid attention to the bird skull right away but entirely missed the fact that there’s a birdcage for a bust until I looked at it a second time. Anyone?

While I’m not sure what kind of bird this is, I do know a visually pleasing tattoo when I see one. All the detail put into the feathers–especially in the face–contrasts nicely with the eyes. What do you think?

Call me crazy, but I think it may have been entirely intentional that the little skeleton being strangled with his own entrails makes me say, “awwwww!”
That, or it’s just the end of a very long week and I could use a few extra hours of sleep. (That’s your cue to agree with me, FYI.)

Sometimes I have a hard time imagining a way to link three similar but not-quite-the-same items together for a tattoo. Good thing I’m not a tattooer, obviously. Jessica Mach did a lovely job making these three birds, a bit of “string” and a little flora into a cohesive & visually pleasing piece.

I’m curious how many of our readers have larger facial tattoos. I’m only asking because I want to know what it’s like to have people constantly, blatantly staring at your face. Looks like this guy knows all about it…

Sometimes it doesn’t need to be a huge tattoo for it to capture my attention. I’m really liking the shading and illustration-like feel of the two birds below.
You know we welcome photo submissions of tattoos both big & small, right? Just checking.

I think the title of this post is more than sufficient when it comes for my input, don’t you?

You guys were pretty into our Owl Day posts recently, so I figured I’d keep on with the theme and bring you a day involving nothing but the cock. Kevin seems permanently embarrassed by these types of posts, so don’t be surprised if he doesn’t offer his two cents today. It’s okay, we all know I’ve got it under control.

Everyone knows that females lie when they talk about size not being an issue, but in this case I’m not fibbing when I say I can’t even believe how small this thing is.
