Black 13 Tattoo just completely revamped their website with a new tattoo gallery. This isn’t your average gallery though. All images are sortable by artist, type of imagery, location on the body, specific key words, and style of tattoo. With this new swanky gallery, all of the artists have updated their portfolios.

Before you start browsing though, check out this video below. Produced by a Nashville  residents Josh Cole and Eli McFadden, the video aims for a 1920′s to 1940′s fight club kind of feel. If you dig the video, make sure you download the matching wall paper for your desktop.

These pieces were done to honor a clients parents. I’ve never really thought about my parents as animals, but this is definitely fitting!

On Saturday night, I spent the night my night partying with the undead at the PROMocalypse presented by Black 13 Tattoo. I didn’t really know what to expect, as I’ve never attended a prom in high school – let alone a zombie prom. When the time finally came, the crowds showed up with in their slashed up suits and gown covered in blood and guts. As you can see from the pictures, the venue was packed and I have no doubt saying that everyone had a blast.

This is only a handful of the pictures I took throughout the night. All of the pictures are available on the Tattoo Snob Facebook page. ‘Like’ the page and start tagging away!

Starting in March, Timmy B. will be tattooing at Black 13 Tattoo. Timmy is already scheduling appointments at his new Black 13 e-mail address.

Wow, what a win-win situation for everyone. Black 13 adds a huge addition to their roster, and Timmy is surrounding himself with some gnarly artists.

Surely a cameo silhouette of a wind-up drummer boy has some deep meaning with a story behind it. Not that I know that story but hey, sometimes it’s fun to make them up while preparing posts to go up in here.

Were it not for Silence of the Lambs, I don’t think anyone would recognize the Death’s-head Hawkmoth.

Recently I learned that they didn’t even use that species during filming. As it turns out, they glued pieces of paper printed with the same skull to the back of another breed of moth. Where’s that “the more you know” star when I need it?
