The more amazing woodcut tattoos I see online, the stronger my desire to get one. Who’s with me?

We’ve posted quite a bit of work by Thomas Hooper, but this is the first color piece to grace our site.
While I love the color of this piece, I think I prefer the black and grey pieces. They seem more… authentic?

Given how incredibly hot it’s been in New York this summer, swimming seems to be one of the few reliefs NYC’s citizens can enjoy. I can only imagine how much fun it’d be to get tattooed in that kind of weather. This seems like it’d be a fun little ditty to do mid-heat wave, though.

I’m not sure exactly what Thirteen is, but they did an outstanding job on this John Reardon piece below. Hopefully they’ll do more pieces like this…
I think it’s same to assume Thirteen is a public broadcasting of some sort, as they’re affiliated with PBS.

If there’s one thing in life I think I can count on, aside from death and taxes, it’s forever being wowed by the work Thomas Hooper does.

Interested in starting off your day with a smile? Take a minute to watch this. It’s actually one minute and forty-one seconds, but I assure you that you’ll be smiling at the end.
Filmed at Three Kings Tattoo Spot by Ryan Scafuro.
Thomas Hooper has two new shirts available for sale if you’re interested in some new threads.
T-shirts are a great way to support your favorite artist or shop, even if you can’t afford to get tattooed by them.
