Gakkin at Butterfat Studios

Holy shit, Gakkin has a guest spot at Butterfat Studios in Chicago, IL from July 1 – 31. If you’re in the area and a fan of traditional Japanese work, you’d be a complete idiot not to get tattooed by him. Seriously.

Front to back

We’ve posted photos of this rather interesting full Japanese back piece before, but when I was looking through Gakkin/Gotch’s website I realized the same enthusiast had the entire front of his torso done at Harizanmai as well.

When looking at tattoo work of this magnitude, it’s hard for me not to be overcome with jealousy. Until I can flaunt gorgeous coverage like this, I’m going to continue doing some serious browsing of their portfolios. I mean c’mon, this is one hell of a collaborative effort!

Fully back-ed piece

I keep trying to think of something witty/funny/entertaining to say except I don’t think words can even really begin to do justice to this tattoo. This may be one of the few instances where I feel a picture is truly worth a thousand words (at least on this blog).
