I’ve been known to commend strangers for having good eyebrows, which is only sometimes awkward. In this case, I’m unsure how well-received such a compliment might be.

Ink and Dagger Tattoo have announced their second annual Man Day will be taking place on August 14th, 2010. The video documenting Man Day 2009 is below, but Russ Abbott warned us this years event will be bigger and even more manly.

I was really hoping I’d get to see Russ Abbott and the Ink and Dagger Tattoo crew at the Detroit Motor City Tattoo Expo. I haven’t seen them since the Richmond show, and I wanted to see what they’ve been up to.

Unfortunately they didn’t make the trip, so instead I’ll have see to admire through their online portfolio. Thankfully they keep their Facebook page up to date.

In an effort to share truly interesting stories and interviews, we’re sitting down talking to Sylvia Hagar of Prick Magazine. If you’ve ever picked up a Prick Magazine, you’ve probably admired photography by Syl. She juggles a couple different jobs for Prick, but her primarily job for the magazine is photographer. Once you start reading the interview below, I think you’ll quickly learn why I think this is truly interesting.

I’ve made it known how much of a fan of Prick Magazine before, so when I had the opportunity to ask Syl a couple questions, and share her outstanding work – I was all about it.

I mentioned yesterday that the Richmond Tattoo Arts Festival is this upcoming weekend, and I’ll be there representing Tattoo Snob. Amongst the artists in attendance will also be Russ Abbott, the Michael Phelps of tattooing. With that many awards in just two weekends, you know Russ is going to take home at least one or two at this convention as well. Hell, I’m willing to bet if the piece below showed up, it could earn itself a slot.
