Last weekend was the Ink-N-Iron Festival in Long Beach, and while we didn’t make it out, Sailor Jerry was there celebrating Sailor Jerry’s birthday. If Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins was still alive on Sunday, June 12th, it would have been his 100th birthday. At 5pm on the 12th, a toast was made by Crazy Eddie to his beloved friend. From what I’m told his tribute did not disapoint, and he stuck to his traditional “Fuck Chicago, Fuck Sailor Jerry.”

In honor of Sailor Jerry’s 100th birthday, Sailor Jerry Rum is kicking off “Hold Fast Celebration.” Fleets of custom Airstreams will be hitting the open road this summer, visiting tattoo conventions, musical festivals, and everywhere in between. Andy Engel is coming to America in June, and will be making stops at multiple shops in Southern California. It doesn’t look like he’s going to be around for too long, so if you want something, I suggest you act quickly. Dates and details are below:

• June 6-8 at MD Tattoos in Northridge
• June 10-12 at the Ink-N-Iron Festival in Long Beach

I really hope when I’m hanging out at Ink-N-Iron this weekend, I can catch Myke Chambers pulling a similar stunt as this.

I’ll be armed with a flip cam, so keep your fingers crossed.

I just booked my flight to Las Vegas where I’ll be meeting up with Andi. From there, we’re going to drive out to Ink-N-Iron Festival, and hang out with a bunch of hot chicks in lingerie.

How in the world am I going to survive?
