Luckily for me, sometimes the puns just write themselves.
Also: if you’re looking to get tattooed by Mr. Ensminger, he has an upcoming guest spot at Artfuel Inc in Wilmington, NC from January 20th-February 3rd. (This is the kind of thing you’d already know if you ‘liked’ his page on Facebook.)

The Divine Comedy
I’ll be honest, I don’t know much about The Divine Comedy, but I’m always a fan when a tattoo artist ventures into an unusual subject. When you toss in the fact that Jeff Ensminger did these, it’s guaranteed to be good.
If you’re interested in this limited edition set, the 15″x13″ giclee prints are available here for $180. If you’re looking to make more of an investment, I highly suggest you check out some of Jeff’s original paintings.
Just a note from Jeff Ensminger
I’m not going to lie, I get pretty excited when I receive e-mails like the one below. It’s incredibly satisfying knowing that Julene and I are helping spread the word about outstanding tattoo artists. The fact that it’s from Jeff Ensminger makes it even better.
Wanted to tell you my girl and I got tattooed by Stefan Johnsson because of you. She saw a post you did about him and checked out his work and then showed me, we were blown away. We were leaving LA and about to be passing through his area, so we emailed him and set something up. He was super nice and down to earth and gave us great tattoos, so thanks! Here they are:

Greatest Loves Day: Not quite a couple
Both of the amazing pieces below were done by Jeff Ensminger, a traveling tattoo god among men if you pardon my lack of impartiality. Everyone loves Jeff’s work – but these tattoos are being posted for Greatest Loves Day because there’s nothing like couple tattoos that I don’t have to call “couple tattoos”, you know?
Here’s what Tim, the husband in question, had to say about the pieces:
The Ryden inspired tattoo is on my arm and the dragon is on my wifes arm. The Dragon was based on the book “East of the Sun, West of the Moon”, and the Ryden tattoo is actually a blend of two of Ryden’s paintings from “The Tree Show”.

Nerd Day: Casio To-Go
Earlier this year we posted this bling watch tattoo from Jeff Ensminger. In the midst of his road warrior adventure, it seems he was able to add to the piece. Forget digging in your backpack when trying to work out those important digits–CASIO’s got you covered.

Road warrior
I’ve throughly enjoyed Jeff Ensminger’s blog for the past couple of months. He’s used the site to detail his travels throughout the US, both the personal and professional aspects.
Jeff has decided to stay put for the winter months, and will be tattooing at Resurrection Tattoo in Austin from December to February.

Sing his praises
Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve posted a number of pieces by Jeff Ensminger. We’ve seemed to open the flood gates since then, with submissions from his clients showing off their work and singing Jeff’s praises.
For good reason too. As you can see, Jeff kills it, and he’s one of the nicest guys.

Carry the fire
We’ve posted several pieces by Jeff Ensminger in the past few weeks. It’s a radical increase, I know… but his work obviously warrants it.
Last I knew, Jeff was talking about taking an RV on a tour across the country. Cross your fingers, maybe next time I speak with him I’ll have more details to share.

Straight edge word work
Seems like there’s quite a few “ask and ye shall receive” readers out there–since posting about a lack of lettering on here we’ve received photos of some nice word-based tattoo work. The one below certainly goes above and beyond your ‘typical’ straight edge tattoo.
Bravo!
