]]> I don’t think it’s breaking news that I’ve wanted to get tattooed by Jim Sylvia for a long time, and I’m excited to say that it finally happened.

Instead of going on and on about what a great experience it was, let me just say this: We need more tattoo shops like Unbreakable Tattoo, and we need more tattoo artists like Jim Sylvia.

All work will be documented with photographs and a quick interview of the participants for a book/study of roses in the tattoo industry. To be a part of this project please call Broken Art Tattoo at 323-661-4777 to sign up. Please note since there will be only thirty tattoos done, this is first come, first serve.

]]> The ability to take a piece of art and find a way to make it suitable as tattoo–without compromising the design–is a skill I never cease to be amazed by. I think Brendan’s interpretation of da Vinci’s Bust of a Warrior is a prime example of how a little artistic tweaking goes a long way.

Last month Sullen Art Collective artist Norm AWR MSK had another amazing Art Show at Known Gallery called “Always”. Known Gallery is right next door to his own shop “Will Rise” Tattoo Shop in LA. Norm likes to think outside of the box and do things a little bit differently as he did for his show, he painted live girls to match the walls and style in his gallery which was a huge hit not only because the ladies were very good looking but because it looked like when the girls were standing in front of a piece that it looked like he just got done painting the whole thing together. Sullen TV was on hand to record the action that went down at this successful and popular art show so enjoy.
