Myke Chambers: On the road again

It looks like Myke Chambers has the rest of his summer planned out, and it appears he’s spending a majority of the time on the road. From July to the end of October, Myke is going to be in a variety of cities for guest spots and tattoo conventions.

If you’re interested in getting tattooed by Myke, check the details of where and when after the jump.

A still shot

A couple people have asked to see an actual picture of the tattoo from the collaboration video I posted earlier this week.

Please keep in mind this tattoo was fresh when this picture was taken. I was going to take a picture tonight, but it’s just a couple days away from being fully healed.

Ink ‘N’ Iron Collaboration video

At the Ink ‘N’ Iron Tattoo Convention, I was lucky enough to have a collaboration tattoo done by Russ Abbott and Myke Chambers. I’ve drooled over their previous pieces together in the past, so I jumped on the chance to have this done.

Armed with a flip cam, I made an attempt to shoot a little bit of the convention and document the tattoo. Please be gentle with the comments, this is the first video I’ve edited in a long time!

That magic moment

I really hope when I’m hanging out at Ink-N-Iron this weekend, I can catch Myke Chambers pulling a similar stunt as this.

I’ll be armed with a flip cam, so keep your fingers crossed.

Second time around

For anyone keeping score, this makes the second collaboration piece between Myke Chambers and Russ Abbott. The first piece was top notch, but I think I like this one just a little more…

If you’re interested in getting tattooed by Myke, I do believe he has an opening this Sunday at Hell City. Don’t wait till Sunday though, contact him today if you’re interested.

T.G.I.F. – Thank God It’s Fun

Not that I have any intention of becoming a tattooer… but being able to watch them do stuff like the piece below live (via Ustream) makes me wish I had some artistic talent. Or hell, a collaboration piece like this of my own wouldn’t be too shabby either. ;)

Shark Day: The Chambers way

I love Myke’s tattoos as it is, but I’ve admired this particular shark piece by him for a hot minute. I’d make a SharkTits joke except there’s no nipple showing in the photo below. Honestly, how am I supposed to talk about manly chests without having nips to creep on?

Recap: Detroit Motor City Tattoo Expo

As most of you probably know, this past weekend was the Detroit Motor City Tattoo Expo. This year marked the 15th anniversary of the show, and despite the bad weather – the turnout was great. The artist turn out was nothing short than stellar, and the floor was packed all weekend.

As always, I brought out my camera and tried to capture some of the quality work that surrounded me. I snapped entirely too many pictures to post on here, so I’m just going to post the cream of the crop. Please remember, my photography skills are amateur at best.

If you’re interested in seeing all of the mediocre pictures I took, become a fan of Tattoo Snob on Facebook. All of the pictures from this past weekend are posted in the albums.
