As of March 2012, Tye Harris will be the newest artist to join the crew at Black 13 Tattoo Parlor. I don’t know exactly Tye will be at the shop, but I do know appointments are already being booked. Interested parties should contact the shop for further details.

Last week I was a little shocked when I read that Ian White has left Black 13 Tattoo. I later spoke to Ian, who let me know he’ll be opening a private studio in Nashville in January. It looks like Ian has also updated his webpage, portfolio, and contact information.

When my brother told me he wanted to get his first tattoo, I was pretty excited to give him a list of tattoo artists that I thought would do a stellar job. After looking at each artists portfolio and thinking about the necessary travel arrangements, he contacted Timmy B. at Black 13 Tattoo Parlor. Yada yada yada, here’s the finished the tattoo.

Black 13 Tattoo just completely revamped their website with a new tattoo gallery. This isn’t your average gallery though. All images are sortable by artist, type of imagery, location on the body, specific key words, and style of tattoo. With this new swanky gallery, all of the artists have updated their portfolios.
Before you start browsing though, check out this video below. Produced by a Nashville residents Josh Cole and Eli McFadden, the video aims for a 1920′s to 1940′s fight club kind of feel. If you dig the video, make sure you download the matching wall paper for your desktop.
The guys from Black 13 Tattoo Parlor will be making their first trip out to the west coast in August. Steve, Timmy, Ian, and Ryan will be attending the Seattle Tattoo Expo on August 12th, 13th, and 14th.
