The more big pieces I see from Jason Loui, the more I want one. Or for one of my friends to get one–getting tattooed vicariously can be a “thing”, right?

Sean Walley sent us an e-mail singing the praises of Stina Sardinha Wulfe – and you can see why below. This is the first piece that Stina completed on Sean; she’s since started a full sleeve on him.
Thankfully we’re quite familiar with Stina’s work. It’s been a while, but here’s the interview we did with Stina back in 2010.

I don’t think you need to see Glengarry Glen Ross to fully understand this tattoo, although I suppose it’s good to know that’s where the quote is from.

On Sunday, May 22nd from 11am to 7pm, Tattoo Junkies will be holding a huge benefit to help raise funds for Japanese relief. For a $30 donation, you can pick between a small free tattoo or piercing. Appointments are currently being booked throughout the day. If you’re interested in getting tattooed, just give the shop a call and they can provide additional details.
If you’re unable to make it out to the shop, you can also support the event by purchasing the custom t-shirt below. The shirts cost $25 each, and are available online.
Tattoo Junkies will be donating all proceeds from this event to Save The Children.

An unnamed guest commenter requested we post more new school work recently… so here you go, buddy!
Believe it or not, Julene and I read your comments on a daily basis. (That includes anything you say on Facebook and Twitter, too.)

Beginning of the work week and I’m feeling a little… out of it. Anyone else feel like going to space real quick?

The cover-up below is of Ethan Allen Crawford, the first mountain guide and owner of the first USA home petting zoo. He is depicted below stealing a bear from the woods to put in his zoo… one he accidentally killed, apparently. Ooops.

The title of this entry isn’t referencing the unusual amount of wolf tattoos we’ve seen this year. Instead it’s referencing the Motorhead song, “In the Year of the Wolf“.
Speaking of Motorhead, they’re currently on tour in the US. Has anyone seen them? I’d love to see them when they come to Chicago in February.
