Evan Lovett is taking off this month

Evan Lovett dropped us a note to let us know he’s going to be doing a little traveling over the next four weeks.

The first stop will be in Atlanta, Georgia from February 1st to February 9th. If you’re interested in getting tattooed, Evan will be tattooing at Tony Mancia’s private studio. The Philadelphia Tattoo Convention is the next stop, and he’ll be tattooing at Art Machine Productions after that (till February 18th.) Evan’s last stop will be from February 19th to the 22nd at Born this Way Body Arts in Knoxville, Tennessee.

If you’re interested in getting tattooed, get ahold of Evan, and find out what he has open. With all of those stops, there’s no doubt he’ll be able to squeeze you in.

Be like Myke

It’s hard to really make a presence on the internet today, and it’s even harder to keep up with it. Somehow Myke Chambers manages to do it, and he does it right. He updates his Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, and Instagram (@MykeChambers) just about everyday.

Show Myke how much you appreciate his hard work, and follow him on all of the above (or whatever best describes your social media presence.)

Keep it in the Family

On Friday, February 3rd, Art Machine Productions will be holding an art show based around Philadelphia tattoo artists. With the amount of talent in Philadelphia, there’s no doubt this will be an amazing show.

Black and gold

Once I thought of the words “black and gold”, this song was stuck in my head for the rest of the day. There are worse songs to have on mental repeat, I think.

The blood is the life…

By now most of you know that I’m not much of a movie buff. Thankfully Paul Acker always makes reference to what character he’s tattooing (this being from Bram Stokers Dracula.)

Maybe one of my new years resolutions should be to log some hours onto Netflix.

An untraditionally traditional John Steinback portrait

I’m not going to lie, Julene would do a much much better job of writing something witty about a John Steinback tattoo. Unfortunately she’s not writing this entry, so instead I’m going to leave you with this quote for this untraditionally traditional portrait.

“Give a critic an inch, he’ll write a play.” -John Steinbeck

Kristel Oreto is moving to Philadelphia

Have you ever read or heard something that shocked you a little bit, and you quickly pull your head back? Yeah, that was my immediate reaction when I read that Kristel Oreto is moving to Philadelphia, and will be working at Art Machine Productions.

My current state of shock isn’t about Kristel or the fact she’ll be tattooing at Art Machine Productions, both of those are awesome. My shock merely comes from the level of tattooing in Philadelphia continues to rise… and rise… and rise. It’s seriously insane how many ridiculous artists live (or will be living) in that town.

Now that’s a snake!

I see a lot of snake tattoos, but this is one of my recent favorites by far.

The newest kid to the Instagram party

Fine tattooer, foodie, and all around nice guy are the words Tim Pangburn uses to describe himself on his new Instagram page. If you’re interested in following Tim, hit up him @TimPangburn.

I’ve never eaten a meal with Tim, so I can’t verify the foodie part but I’ll gladly agree to the rest of his statements.
