Look into her eyes

I love the bird in the background, and her hair with those flowers but her eyes really seem to draw me in.

The Californians Wolf’s Head

Eric Kuiken does a lot of quirky tattoos, but this tattoo is a little more main stream.

I know a handful of people are tired of the animal carcass over the head thing, but I’m still digging these pieces.

An untraditionally traditional John Steinback portrait

I’m not going to lie, Julene would do a much much better job of writing something witty about a John Steinback tattoo. Unfortunately she’s not writing this entry, so instead I’m going to leave you with this quote for this untraditionally traditional portrait.

“Give a critic an inch, he’ll write a play.” -John Steinbeck

Public Service Announcement

Sometimes I think people sleep on Kore Flatmo. This post is just to remind everyone the caliber of tattooing that Kore does.

Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?

After Phillip K. Dick (author of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep–the book ‘Blade Runner‘ was based on) passed away, a robotic version of him was built and then programmed to be “interviewed” based on recordings made during old interviews.

Seems like a pretty fitting memorial for a sci-fi author, no?

Jimmy based this tattoo off a photograph of the notoriously camera-shy author, as well as adding the circuit boards from the few pictures available of the robotic version of his head. (The head and it’s contents were lost on a flight in 2006 and never recovered. Hanson Robotics announced at the beginning of this year they had built a replacement.)

Rewolucja

One of my favorite things about the internet is my ability to translate things from foreign tattooers’ webpages. How else would I know what “Rewolucja” meant?!
