Video: Speedy Ribs

This video, featuring Paul Marino from Raw Power Tattoo in Feasterville, PA makes getting your ribs tattooed look… dare I say it? Easy. I think we all know better, but it is fun to watch everyone move around like they’re on speed. Plus, it keeps anyone from seeing all the funny faces I’m willing to bet poor Drew was making.

Totally intense

Between the patterns and sheer size of both of these pieces, I am seriously in awe.

Giveth or taketh away?

Based on the perspective in this tattoo, is that mermaid is offering you a necklace or in the process of taking it away?

Headed upstream

Most fish tattoos wind up being something scary from the way deep or something more traditional, like a koi or goldfish. Looks like it’s trout season year round for someone!

And now for something completely different

While I think just about everyone is familiar with Anil Gupta for his work with the fine art tattoos… this piece is equally as noteworthy. Just goes to show that regardless of what a tattooer winds up doing most often, that’s probably not the full extent of their talent.

Girls, girls, girls

I’m love this vampire bust tattoo. What I presume to be the tattoo on the other side of this bearer’s ribs is NSFW–so you’ll need to click the link in order to see what I’ve started referring to as the Patron Saint of Cock… in my head of course, never aloud.

Commit to grow

Friday’s a good day to commit to something… like pretty flowers, for instance.

Intended view

To see this tattoo as nature and the artist intended, click-through. Unless you’re at work, in which case you should probably just wait until you get home.

Shark Day: Good to the last bite

This whole themed day thing gives me an excellent opportunity to use every pun I can possibly think of. This last minute addition was sent in to me this afternoon–good thing I spend all day working on a computer or I would’ve had to put off posting this until it wasn’t nearly as relevant.

Smokestack Hat

I may come off like a nancy for saying it, but looking at this massive rib piece made me squirm a little bit. Getting your ribs tattooed is no joke, as I’m sure this guy would be able to attest to.
