Goblin’ it up

I will make puns for post titles ’til the day I die. Or until Kevin actually follows through on one of his numerous threats to kill me for doing so–whichever comes first.

Besides, what else can I say about a goblin between Christmas and New Years?

First Labyrinth worm ever posted on Tattoo Snob

The fact that I don’t know what a “Labyrinth worm” is doesn’t stop me from loving this tattoo.

(Julene’s note: Kevin… there is no way you’re too old to remember this.)

Zombee

Joel Rodriguez sent in this zombie bee, which was done at the Texas Tattoo Round Up two weeks ago.

With halloween less than a month away, we’re going to start saving up for an appropriately scary theme day. Submit all of your pieces to TattooSnob@gmail.com.

Two are always better than one

I’ve always been a fan of the dog tattoos, but I especially love this monster.

Who’re you again?

Is anyone else a little uncomfortable about the idea of a masked Easter bunny? He looks pretty non-threatening but something’s off about that guy…

Faces in unlikely places

I love a good skeleton key tattoo as much as the next person. It’s nice to see an equally attractive departure from the ornate metalwork so many pieces seem to have focused on as of late.

Munster time in Philly & Detroit

Both Philadelphia and Detroit have tattoo conventions coming up in February, and Scotty Munster will be attending both.

If you’re interested in getting tattooed by Scotty, he’s currently taking appointments for both shows. I’d suggest contacting him sooner than later.

A new approach

Scotty Munster’s taken a rather novel approach to the way he presents finished tattoo photos. As you can see below, he’s started to include sketches of the tattoo as well of photos of him working on the piece with a photo of the final product.

You know me, always a fan of the start-to-finish.

Old man winter

How is it the middle of October already? Before we know it we’re going to be shoveling the drive way, scraping our windows in the morning, and cursing the cold in general.

Zombie of Oz

I’ll probably receive a little flack for this, but I can only handle so much zombie shit. While I do enjoy it in small doses, I think it’s overplayed and I’d much rather see something truly unique.

With that being said, this Wizard of Oz zombie twist is truly unique. I’d love to see an entire sleeve of this! Can you imagine a zombie the Lion? Or Toto? I really hope this is a tight shot of a much larger piece…
